The present invention relates to novel materials, particularly biomaterials, in the form of a precipitate, comprising at least one anionic polymer component, which is as such water soluble, and an amphiphilic ammonium type component, said precipitate can be obtained at through a procedure that includes the following steps: contacting the anionic polymer component and a cyclodextrin component in an aqueous medium, and adding to the mixture obtained in step 1, said amphiphilic ammonium type component, where the components are present in amounts effective to form said precipitate, and preferably corresponding precipitates which further comprise said cyclodextrin component. Both types of precipitates may optionally comprise one or more other components. The precipitates are particularly useful as depot or storage controlled release formulations suitable for the long-term supply of said additional components. The other components incorporated in the precipitates may be pharmaceutical compounds, pesticides, agrochemicals, dyes, diagnostics, enzymes, food products, etc. |
