abstract This invention is linked to the field of the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, where the bactericidal, virucidal, parasiticidal and fungicidal properties of ozonized vegetable oils and fats are taken into consideration. The emulsified vegetable oil or fat is reacted with ozone in a bubbling reactor, covered with a shirt that allows the reaction temperature to be controlled. The ozone reacts with the double bonds present in the vegetable oil or fat resulting in the formation of different peroxidic species, responsible for the biological action of these products. Ozonized vegetable oils or fats under these conditions are applied with satisfactory and innovative results in the treatment of diseases in various medical specialties, such as ophthalmology, stomatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecology, parasitology, among others. Likewise, the cosmetological application of ozonized vegetable oils and fats is described, taking into account their oxygenating and revitalizing properties of the skin. The results of the toxicological studies, carried out previously, demonstrate that the products obtained according to this process do not present contraindications or adverse reactions.
