The use as a UV filter of a component of formula (See formula I) R1 and R2 are each independently of each other hydrogen; C1-C22 alkyl unsubstituted or substituted with halo, amino, mono- or di-C1-C5- alkylamino, cyano- or C1-C5 alkoxy, C5-C10 cycloalkyl, C1-C22 carboxy-alkyl, C6-C10 carboxy-aryl, C6-C10 aryl or C6-C10-aryl-C1-C5 alkyl; carbamoyl; or sulfamoyl; or R1 and R2, together with the nitrogen atom that binds them, form a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic radical; yR3 is hydrogen; or C1-C22 alkyl; yR4 is hydrogen; hydroxy; C1-C22 alkyl; or C1-C22 alkoxy; The compounds of formula (1) are especially suitable as UV filters in cosmetic preparations. |
