The present invention relates to a non-human, transgenic mammal, whose germ cells and somatic cells contain a constitutively activated tyrosine kinase receptor, introduced into the mammal, or an ancestor of the mammal, in an embryonic stage. Non-human, transgenic mammals can be used as independent in vivo models of the ligand, for the identification and development of selective tyrosine kinase modulators for the treatment of cancer. |
