titleOfInvention | COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING bar soap FATTY ACID ALKYL ESTERS AND ALCOHOLIC ALFA sulphonated polyhydric AND PROCESSES to produce them. |
abstract | Improved cleaning compositions comprising soap are described; fatty acid, synthetic detergents surfactant, salt and a polyhydric alcohol, which are suitable for the formation in "soap pastes" precursor bar for laundry / cleaning, personal cleansing bars and laundry detergent bars. The compositions comprise: (a) from about 58% to about 93% by weight of an approximately 70% aqueous suspension of soap; (b) from about 1% to about 15% by weight of a fatty acid; (C) from about 2% to about 30% by weight of an aqueous mixture about 55% of anionic surfactants comprising i) an alkyl ester alpha sulfonate, and ii) a sulfonated fatty acid alpha or salts thereof, wherein the ratio of i) to ii) is from about 10: 1 to about 1:10; (d) from about 0.5% to about 2% by weight of a salt; (e) from about 0.5% to about 5% by weight of a polyhydric alcohol; and (f) from 0 to about 10% by weight of an alkanolamide of OCH3 formula (CH 2) n NH (CH2) YOH where n = 6 -16, y is 2 - 4. The invention further concerns a process improved to produce both "soap pastes" precursor bar for laundry / cleaning, laundry detergent bars / cleaning staff comprising combining (a) - (e) to form a liquid mixture at a temperature of about 65 to about 105 |C |C, remove from about 50% to about 90% by weight of water of the liquid mixture, heating to 150 |C under vacuum or 105 |C to normal conditions to form a thick mixture, extruding the slurry to form compacted or semi-solid or flaky pastes in flakes and optionally, work the dough of the semi-solid or solid pastes or compacted in flakes to form pastes or compacted, (f) extrude the pastes or kneaded compacts to form an ingot, cut the ingot, and die cut the ingot to produce a laundry detergent / personal cleaning bar. |
