abstract | The invention relates to a microwave measuring device for detecting the charge of a two-phase flow with a gaseous carrier medium containing solid and / or small and tiny liquid particles, and for detecting gas contained in a fluid flow, preferably by waves. A preferred application of the invention is the detection of solid particles contained in the gas flow of bulky solid material pneumatic transport systems used, for example, for pulverized coal furnaces of coal thermoelectric power plants. The inventive microwave measuring device is provided with field bars that extend inside the feed tube being arranged before and after a measuring section formed by a transmitting antenna and a receiving antenna, the mentioned bars interacting with the feed tube made of a conductive material such as a microwave resonance box emitted into the feed tube by means of the transmission antenna, so that the microwaves that differ from the microwaves emitted with respect to their polarization plane and / or phase as a result of diffraction and / or reflection outside the measurement section are essentially eliminated by short circuit in order to prevent the results of the measurements from being distorted. The inventive device has the particular advantage of being of simple construction and easy installation even in bulky and branched pipe systems. |
