STERIAL CELLS DERIVED FROM ADIPOSE TISSUE FOR THE REPAIR OF CORNEAL AND INTRAORBITAL DEFECTS AND USES OF THE SAME. |
abstract |
The invention provides compositions and methods for the use of stromal cells derived from adipose tissue for the treatment and repair of any tissue defect associated with the eyes, which includes but is not limited to those secondary to trauma, metabolic diseases, congenital errors or of surgery Stromal cells derived from adipose tissue are grown in an undifferentiated, differentiated state or as adiposites either alone or in the presence of biocompatible material. The resulting materials are used surgically to correct various correctable intraocular defects. |
