DRUG SUPPLY MATRICES TO IMPROVE WOUND HEALING. |
abstract |
The invention relates to a more efficient introduction of bioactive molecules into a matrix for the regulated supply of these compounds for therapeutic cure applications. The matrix can be formed of synthetic or natural compounds. The main method of introduction of the bioactive molecule is through the precipitation of the bioactive molecule during the action of forming the matrix gel, either in vitro or in vivo. The bioactive molecule is deglycolised to reduce its effective solubility in the matrix to retain its greatest effectiveness within the matrix. Preferably, the bioactive factors are deglucolised members of the cystine node growth factor superfamily and particularly within the TGB superfamily (. |
