titleOfInvention IMPROVED PROCESS TO PRODUCE CARBOXYL ACIDS.
abstract The present invention relates to an improved process for producing carboxylic acids or their esters, by the catalytic oxidation in liquid phase of a corresponding precursor, in an appropriate solvent, which comprises feeding the reagents to a first oxidation reaction zone, to a high pressure and with a high ratio of solvents, where oxygen uptake is limited to less than 50% of the oxygen required for the complete conversion of the precursor, into its corresponding carboxylic acid, and then feed the resulting reaction medium to a second oxidation reaction zone.
