abstract The invention comprises a method for combating phytopathogenic diseases in crop plants that comprise applying to or instead of the plants or the place thereof that is infested with the phytopathogenic disease, an effective amount of a combination of a) a benzophenone of the formula (I) wherein R1 is methoxy, methyl, hydroxy, acetoxy or pivaloyloxy, R2 is C1-C4 alkoxy or 2-halogenbenzyloxy, R3 is C1-C4 alkoxy, R4 is C1-C4 alkyl, halogen or trifluoromethyl, and R5 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkoxy, trifluoromethyl or nitro; in association with b) the strobilurin of formula (II), and a composition comprising fungicidally effective amounts of components (I) and (II).
