abstract The present invention provides a cheap and sensitive device and a method for detecting and quantifying analytes present in a medium. The device comprises a metallized film on which a specific and predetermined binder pattern such as an antibody is printed with inkjet. With the attachment of an objective analyte selected areas of the plastic film on which the binder is printed, the diffraction of the transmitted and / or reflected light occurs through the physical and defined dimensions, the precise placement of the analyte. A diffraction image is produced which can be easily seen with the eye or optionally with a sensor device.
