PRODUCTION OF RECOMBINANT BLOOD COAGULATION FACTORS IN HUMAN CELL LINES. |
abstract |
The present invention relates to an improved method for the production of recombinant human blood coagulation factors, in particular factor VIII and factor IX, using a line of immortalized human cells that stably express viral transcription activating proteins and that carries a vector having a promoter functionally linked to a DNA sequence that codes for a blood clotting factor, as long as the promoter is not a viral promoter that is stimulated by viral transcription activating proteins; a line of immortalized human cells that carries the vector; Factor VIII muteins particularly suitable for the above production method; Pharmaceutical compositions comprising these factor VIII muteins and the use of these factor VIII muteins to prepare a medicament for treating hemophilia. |
