titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE DESULFURATION OF PETROLEUM FOODS.
abstract A process for hydrodesulfuration of a stream of cracked naphtha (1) is described, where very little of the valuable olefins are saturated. The process is a two-stage process where H2S is separated between the stage via lines (12 and 16) to prevent the formation of recombinant mercaptans. Because H2S is separated between the stages, more moderate conditions can be used in the second stage polishing reactor to obtain the same levels of desulfurization with less loss of olefin.
