Hair conditioning compositions comprising an anti-dandruff agent are exposed, wherein the hair conditioning composition is practically free from the group selected from a chelating agent, methylchloroisothiazolin one and methylisothiazolinone. The composition comprises by weight: (a) approximately 0.1% to 15% of a high melting point fatty compound; (b) compounds selected from (b1a) approximately between 0.1% and 10% of an amidoamine having the following general formula: R1CONE (CH2) m N (R2) 2 wherein R1 is a residue of C11 to C24 fatty acids , R2 is a C1 to C4 alkyl and m is an integer from 1 to 4; (b1b) an acid selected from the group consisting of 1-glutamic acid, lactic acid, hydrochloric acid, malic acid, acetic acid, smoking acid, 1-glutamic acid hydrochloride, tartaric acid and mixtures thereof, at such a level that the molar ratio of amidoamine and acid is approximately between 1: 0.3 and 1: 1; or (b2) the combination of: (b2a) approximately 0.1% to 10% of a cationic conditioning agent; and (b2b) approximately between 0.1% and 10% of a low melting oil having a melting point less than 25 degree C; (c) a safe and effective amount of an anti-dandruff agent; (e) a conservative system comprising, by weight of the total composition, approximately between 0.1% and 1.0% of benzyl alcohol, approximately between 0.1% and 1.0% of phenoxyethanol, approximately between 0.05% and 1% of methyl paraben and approximately between 0.01% and 1.0% propyl paraben; and (f) an aqueous vehicle. |
