titleOfInvention ABSORBENT ARTICLE THAT HAS SUPERABSORBENT BAGS IN A NON-ABSORBING CARRYING LAYER.
abstract An absorbent article having a relatively light weight and a smaller volume includes a liquid permeable top layer, an inner emergence layer and an essentially liquid impermeable outer shell. A plurality of bags are formed in at least one of the emergence layer and the outer covering material. The bags contain a superabsorbent material. The outer cover material or the emergence layer containing the bags function as an absorbent layer, thus eliminating the need for a separate (often bulky) absorbent layer between the emergence layer and the outer cover.
