| abstract | A resorbable absorbent article having a front part, a back part and a crotch part is described. The crotch part connects the front to the back. The front part has a central section including the first and second side edges. The first and second side sections are releasably attached to the central section and each side section has an outer edge. The front part also has a first end and a second end. The back has the first and second side edges and the first and second ends. The back is divided into a first section and a second section. The first section has a length L2 measured perpendicularly from the first end of the back to a line drawn parallel to it. The multiple elastic threads extend transversely across the first section from the first lateral edge to the second lateral edge. The second section also has a length L3 measured perpendicularly from the second end to the line drawn parallel to the first end so that the ratio L2 / L3. it is established which varies from between about 0. 1 to about 2. Each of the outer edges of the first and second side sections of the front front part are secured to one of the first and second side edges of the back to form a brief type article that has a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. |
