Substituted and fused pyridazine having anglogenesis inhibitory activity and the generalized structural formula (see formula) in which the ring containing A, B, E, and L is a nitrogen-containing heterocycle - groups X and Y can be any of a variety of defined link units R1 and R2 may be independently defined substituents or together they may be a bridge defining a ring; the J-ring may be an aryl, pyridyl or cycloalkyl group; and the G groups can be any of a variety of defined substituents. Pharmaceutical compositions containing these materials, and methods for treating a mammal having a condition characterized by abnormal processes of angiogenesis or hyperpermeability using these materials are also described. |
