COSMETIC DEPILATION TEAM WITH PHOTOSENSITIZER. |
abstract |
A marker substance that includes a toxic photosensitive material to subcutaneously mark the hair growth cells of a target area of the skin. A lighting apparatus is used to illuminate the skin in the target area with a light of a selected wavelength to effect preferential interaction with the hair growth cells marked with the marking substance resulting in a toxic effect that inhibits the ability of hair growth of the illuminated marked cells. In the equipment, the marking substance may be provided in a manner comprising separate portions of the toxic photosensitive material and a vehicle material, the portions of which will be mixed before application in the target area. Additionally or alternatively, the lighting apparatus includes an applicator configured to administer non-laser light and / or is configured to be placed against the skin of the target area to administer the illumination to the marked hair growth cells. |
