titleOfInvention USE OF RECYCLED PLASTICS FOR THE PREPARATION OF HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPOSITE RAILWAYS.
abstract A method for maintaining the appropriate distance between the rail tracks is described. The method uses railway sleepers made of a composite of polystyrene and polyolefin components, preferably obtained from recycled plastics. The compound shows a double phase morphology in which the two phases, polystyrene and polyolefin, intermingle and remain continuous throughout the entire material.
