BACTERIAL ENTEROTOXINS ORALLY IMMUNOGENIC EXPRESSED IN TRANSGENIC PLANTS. |
abstract |
The invention provides mutant thermolabile polypeptides (LT) of Escherichia coli and Vibrio cholerae toxin (CT) and the polynucleotides encoding them. The mutant LT and CT polypeptides can be easily produced in plants and can be used to treat or prevent diseases caused by E. coli and V. cholerae. Polypeptides are also useful as adjuvants. |
