abstract |
The design, manufacture and use of optical discs that allow the concurrent and discriminatory acquisition of signals from operational structures and non-operational structures is presented. Disk geometries and track tracking or tracking schemes allow such discs to be read in, and data encoded by, non-operational structures reported by standard (or minimally modified) optical disc readers. The first and second surface, single data layer discs are described, as are multiple data layer discs. The use of the disks in the specific analyte assay is also presented. |
