The invention relates to liquid crystal pigments characterized by at least one layer of liquid crystal polymer material with a double helical molecular structure where the axis of the helix is substantially oriented perpendicularly to the plane of the layer and presenting light reflection circularly polarized, characterized in that the bandwidth of the reflected wavelength of the band is 100 nm, the methods of its preparation, and its uses in films or reflective covers, for decorative applications, cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions, elements of optics and security applications. |
