titleOfInvention FUNGICIDE BLENDS THAT INCLUDE R-METALAXIL.
abstract The present invention relates to novel fungicidal compositions of two components, based on metalaxyl having an enantiomer content R greater than 70% by weight as an essential component and a second fungicidal component, for the treatment of plant pathogenic diseases of plants for harvest, especially phytopathogenic fungi, and a method to combat phytopathogenic diseases in plants for harvest. The metalaxyl component is called active ingredient (I). The following fungicides can be used as the second component (II) of the mixture: either a compound of the formula (IIA), N- (3 '- (1'-chloro-3-methyl-2'-oxopentan)) -3,5-dichloro-4-methylbenzamide (EP-600629); or a compound of the formula (IIB) (EP-253213) (E) -2-methoxyimino- [2- (o-tolyloxymethyl1) -phenyl? -methyl acetate; or a (S) -valinamide of the formula (IIC) (EP-472996); wherein R4 is an isopropyl group and R5 is a 4-methylphenyl group and where the preferred asymmetric center is (R); or a compound of the formula (IID) (EP-551048) (S) -1-anilino-4-methyl-2-methylthio-4-phenylimidazolin-5-one; or a compound of the formula (IIE), strain Pseudomonas fluoresens, no. Access ATCC 55169 (USP-5,348,742) is particularly effective in combating or preventing fungal diseases in crop plants. These combinations exhibit a synergistic fungicidal activity.
