titleOfInvention | PROCESS OF MODIFICATIONS OF HYBRID SURFACE AND ARTICLE. |
abstract | The combination of hybridization of chemical machining (especially photochemical machining, chemical hardening machining or thermal hardening machining) with electric discharge machining, provides an increased efficiency machining process with unique engraving characteristics and economic improvements. The ability of chemical machining to accurately and quickly machine a substrate at significant depths is combined with the increased smoothness of the wall or inclination of the surface of the most precise, slow electrical sheeting machining to provide a three-dimensional engraving of surfaces with surface characteristics which are unique, quickly obtained and of high quality. The process is formed by either a) first chemical machining to obtain the fundamental model and approximate depth of the desired texture in the final product and refinement of the grooves, walls and grooving of the surface carved or modeled by the subsequent electrical discharge machining or b) using electrical chemical machining to define a grooving model, grooves, and walls, and then extending the depth of those grooves with chemical machining (in combination with a protective layer or hardening on the surface of the initial model plate). The initial product of alternative b) can be followed by an additional electrical discharge machining to refine the groove characteristics. |
