A method for improving the storage stability of personal care formulations containing agents that absorb ultraviolet (UV) radiation (sun protection agents) is disclosed. The latex polymer particles that contain a hole, and have a particle size of 50 to 100 nanometers, and have at least 4% polymerized interlocking units in the cover portion of the particles, are especially effective in maintaining the storage stability and effectiveness of sun protection formulations, when added to personal care compositions, which contain at least one sunscreen agent. |
