titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE TO SEPARATE AND RECOVER PROTEIN AND ISO FLAVONAS FROM A VEGETABLE MATERIAL. |
abstract | The present invention relates to an improved method for separating and recovering protein and isoflavones from a plant material containing them; a clarified protein extract from the plant material is prepared and contacted with a polar ion exchange resin, allowing the isoflavones in the extract to bind with the ion exchange resin, and by depleting the isoflavone extract; a protein extract that has been depleted of isoflavones is separated from the ion exchange resin, and a protein material depleted in isoflavone is recovered from the extract depleted in isoflavone; after removal of the resin extract depleted in isoflavone, isoflavones are separated and recovered from the ion exchange resin; Isoflavone glucosides and recovered isoflavone glucoside conjugates can be converted to their corresponding form of aglucone isoflavone. |
