abstract This invention demonstrates that placing 10 mg. of aspirin in each cigar, platelet aggregation is reduced, what is necessary so that the hemostatic plug is not formed and myocardial or cerebral infarction does not occur thus avoiding thousands of deaths per year, with a very well tolerated dose of aspirin of between 75 and 325 mg. per day in a consumption of 10 to 50 cigarettes per day, what is necessary to block cyclooxygenase in addition to being an amount with which no bleeding occurs.
