A suitable chemical combination is disclosed to prolong container life and reduce cure time of a container mix of a thermoset composition. The chemical combination includes a catalyst, such as dibutyl tin dialurate; carboxylic or sulfonic acid; and an extension compound, such as 2,4 pentadione. The combination is generally included in a polymeric component of the urethane composition. Prolonged pot life provides the user with a noticeable longer time during which they can efficiently apply a container mix coating to a wide variety of substrate surfaces, while also producing coatings that cure quickly upon application. |
