abstract The present invention relates to diaminopyrimidines of the General Formula (I), wherein either R1 represents a straight chain 5-10 carbon alkyl radical, branched chain 3-5 alkyl carbon, 3 cycloalkyl to 6 carbon atoms or w-carboxyalkyl of 3 to 5 carbon atoms and R2 and R3 represent an alkyl radical of 1 to 5 carbon atoms; or R1 represents a hydrogen atom, R2 represents a w-carboxyalkyl radical of 3 to 5 carbon atoms and R3 represents an alkyl radical of 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and its pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, which have antibiotic properties and can be used in the control or prevention of infectious diseases.
