titleOfInvention INITIATOR SYSTEM AND ADHESIVE COMPOSITION DEVELOPED WITH THE SAME.
abstract Systems are described for initiating the polymerization of acrylic monomers comprising: (1) organoborane amine complexes and (2) bi-reactive de-complexing agents preferably comprising at least one free radical polymerizable group and at least one amine reactive group on the same molecule. The de-complexing has the ability to form a covalent bond with the acrylic monomers and the amine complex, resulting in a reduced level of mobile constituents. Furthermore, when the organoborane amine complex of the initiator system comprises a polyamine compound, polymerized acrylic compositions are advantageously provided having improved solvent resistance.
