abstract 1,3-oxacin-4-one as herbicides of formula (I), wherein R1 represents optionally substituted phenyl; R2 represents: a straight or branched alkyl chain having 1 to 10 carbon atoms which is replaced by one or more R8 groups which may be the same or different; an optionally halogenated straight or branched chain of alkenyl or alkynyl having more than 10 carbon atoms; selected from the group of cyano, -CHO, -COR7, -CO2H, -CO2R7, -COSR7, -CONR9R10, -CH = NOH, -CH = NOR7, -CH = NNR9R10, -CH2CN, -CH2NO2 and oxiranyl; R3 represents the optionally substituted phenyl or R3 represents a heteroaromatic ring composed of 7 to 5; said first ring being optionally attached and said first ring being attached to a hydrogen atom of the NR6 group via one of the ring carbon atoms; R4 and R5 independently represent light alkyls; W represents -NR6-; R6 represents a hydrogen, a light alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, -COR7 or -CO2R7; and its uses as herbicides.
