abstract |
The invention relates to a process for obtaining stable 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid (= hydroxy analogue of methionine, MHA) during storage in primary free form by distillation of a solution of a product containing MHA and the Obtaining from a distillate of this type of mixtures of products containing MHA with improved stability during storage. The distillate can be obtained either directly from the raw MHA products, which eventually still contain solvent or water, by means of any MHA preparation process or from a commercial MHA product. |
