This invention provides a heterotelelelic oligomer or polymer that is represented by the following formula: wherein R1 and R2 form an acetal or, combined with each other, denote oxy (= O); of p, m, n, and q each denotes a certain whole number; L is a group that forms an ester; and Z denotes a certain functional group; This invention also provides a process for producing the above oligomer or polymer by means of live polymerization; and since that oligomer or polymer forms a high molecular weight micelle that is stable in aqueous solvent, said oligomer or polymer will be useful as a vehicle for drug delivery. |
