abstract | A subject of the invention is a new manufacturing process for palatinitol, in which it proceeds: in a first step, the epimerization of isomaltose under conditions that allow obtaining a mixture of alpha-D-glucopyranosyl- (1 ?? 6) -D -mannose and isomaltose; in a second stage, the catalytic hydrogenation of this mixture; and in a third stage, the chromatographic depletion of isomaltitol of this hydrogenated mixture in order to obtain an approximately equimolar mixture of alpha-D-glucopyranosyl- (1 ?? 6) -D-sorbitol and alpha-D-glucopyranosyl- (1 ?? 6) -D-mannitol. |
