The invention relates to a new catalyst system based on complex rhodium compounds insoluble in water with diphosphine ligands; diphosphine ligands are found as ammonium carboxylates, sulfonates, or phosphates with univalent or polyvalently charged diphosphine anion and with the corresponding number of cations as counter ions; the invention further relates to the use of the new catalyst system in the production of aldehydes by reacting olefinically unsaturated compounds with hydrogen and carbon monoxide in a homogeneous phase. |
