Preparation of alkoxylates of oligoamines or polyamines by a two-stage procedure, where, in the first stage, an alkylene oxide molecule per NH group is added on the oligoamines or polyamines, in the presence of water, alcohols or acids, or their mixtures, in the absence of a neutral or basic catalyst and, in the second stage, after removing the water and acids, the subsequent reaction with the alkylene oxide is carried out in the presence of a conventional, neutral or basic catalyst , where, before carrying out the second stage, an organic solvent or diluent, or a mixture thereof, is added from the group of: (a) alcohols and phenols and their alkoxylates, (b) polyalcohols based on ethylene oxide , propylene oxide, butylene oxide or mixtures thereof, (c) N-substituted carboxamides, (d) alkanol monoamines and alkanol polyamines and their alkoxylates, (e) other oligoamine or polyamine alkoxylates, (f) aromatic hydrocarbons, (g) hydrocarbons aliphatic os, (h) ethers and (i) sulfones or sulfoxides. |
