Hydrocarbon polymers grafted with polyesters, polylactones, or polyesters from the reaction of phosgene with glycols containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are described as having good release properties or low adhesion to hydrocarbon rubber or rubber materials. Hydrocarbon backbone polymers include EPDM, hydrogenated polybutadiene, and hydrogenated poly (styrene-butadiene), all methylated isobutylene-p-methylstyrene polymers. The previously preferred graft copolymers together with utadiene-acrylonitrile rubber or epichlorohydrin polymers or copolymers are described as useful self-release curing polymers for cuffs, chambers or bladders for use in the production of molded articles such as pneumatic tires. |
