This invention relates to a cosmetic film-forming composition, which is especially useful as a nail coating composition, which on drying forms a film that will adhere to the keratin of a nail. More particularly, the present invention relates to cosmetic film-forming compositions, consisting of an aqueous emulsion (A) comprising a sulfopolyester and a copolymer of vinyl acetate and dialkyl maleate, and an aqueous emulsion (B) comprising an aqueous emulsion of acetoacetoxyethyl alkylacrylate or the product of acetoacetoxyethyl alkylacrylate with a vinyl functional monomer. These cosmetic film-forming compositions are fast drying, have good adhesive properties, and are environmentally compatible. |
