A coated glass article is prepared by vapor-chemical deposition of a mixture of a tin oxide precursor, a silicon dioxide precursor, and an accelerator such as triethyl phosphite at deposition rates greater than 350A per second. The deposited material layer can be combined with other layers to produce an article with specific properties, such as controlled emission capacity, refractive index, abrasion resistance and appearance. |
