titleOfInvention | COMPOSITION INCLUDING CIS-1,1,1,4,4,4-HEXAFLUORO-2-BUTENE AND TRANS-1,2-DICHLOROETHYLENE, THE APPARATUS THAT CONTAINS THEM AND METHODS TO PRODUCE COOLING THEM. |
abstract | In the present invention a refrigeration or air conditioning apparatus and, particularly, a chiller apparatus is described which contains a composition comprising 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene and 1,2-dichloroethylene , wherein 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene is cis isomer or primarily cis isomer, wherein 1,2-dichloroethylene is trans isomer or primarily trans isomer. These coolers could be flooded evaporators or direct expansion evaporators, both of which use centrifugal compressors. The present invention further describes methods for producing cooling that comprise evaporating a composition comprising cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene in the zone adjacent to a body to cool down. In the present invention, compositions comprising cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene are further described, where cis-1,1,1 , 4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene is present at 50 to about 60 percent by weight. |
