titleOfInvention EFFICIENT PROCEDURES FOR PREPARATION TO GREAT SCALE OF PHOSPHAPLATIN ANTITUMOR AGENTS.
abstract An efficient method for synthesizing phosphaplatins in large amounts is described by adding platinum complex to a concentrated solution of pyrophosphate at pH between about 6.0 to 8.5; after stirring, the temperature and pH is reduced to precipitate the desired phosphaplatins; particularly, the procedures described reduce the need to use large volumes of starting materials, and shorten the reaction time; In addition, a process for recycling unreacted materials from a first phosphaplatin synthesis is described.
