titleOfInvention METHODS TO REPAIR HAIR AND SKIN.
abstract Compositions, kits and methods for bond repair are disclosed, for example, disulfide bonds in hair or on the skin. The compositions provide a better conditioning benefit for dry hair or to moisturize the skin. The compositions also provide a moisturizing appearance and a silky feeling on the skin or hair for a long time, without feeling greasy. The compositions contain one or more compounds that covalently bind to at least two thiol groups in the hair or on the skin. The use of the binding compositions prevents the reversion of the repaired bonds to their free thiol states, for at least a week or a month, or more, after a single application of the composition. Improved methods are also provided for hair styling, for example, hair curling, hair curling, hair coloring or lighting and hair straightening, permanent.
