The plasticizer mixtures comprise a trimezcla of diethylene glycol dibenzoate, dipropylene glycol dibenzoate and 1,2-propylene glycol dibenzoate, in specified proportions; useful in combination with a multitude of thermoplastic polymers, thermoset polymers and elastomeric polymers and numerous applications, including but not limited to plastisols, adhesives, sealants, caulks, architectural coatings, industrial coatings, OEM coatings, inks, overprint varnishes, waxes, and Similar. The advantages presented by the use of the trimezcla, depend on the type of polymer and the application in which it is used, and include among other advantages the higher solvation power and lower processing time, low VOCs, plasticizer freezing point reduced, improved melting and gelation characteristics, higher tensile strength, superior extraction and corrosion resistance, and improved rheology over the traditional dimensions of diethylene glycol dibenzoate and dipropylene glycol dibenzoate. |
