abstract The present invention relates to the use of an aqueous viscoelastic fluid to produce a medicinal product to surgically treat the eye, such fluid lengthens the lenses of the lens and the pupil of the eye after being applied to the surface of the eye from a disposable container. The viscoelastic fluid contains a polymer selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, hyaluronic acid, sodium alginate, hydroxypropyl guar polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, polymethacrylic acid (carbomer), polyoxyethylene polyoxyethylene polyoxyethylene copolymer a concentration of 0.01-30%.
