titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF TETRA HYDRO TI ENO (3,2-c) AND (2,3-c) PYRIDINE DERIVATIVES
abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of derivatives of tetrahydrothiene (3,2-c) and (2,3-c) pyridine, the tetrahydro-thiene (3,2-c) pyridine having the formula: (SEE GACETA) and its isomers, the derivatives of tetrahydro-thiene (2,3-c) the formula: (SEE GACETA) formulas in which the hydroxyl OH is in position 2 or in position 4, R1, represents hydrogen, a radical alcohol or lower alkoxy, an aryl, aralcohyl radical, R2 and R3 represent hydrogen, a halogen, an alcohol or lower alkoxy radical, a di (lower alcohol) amino radical, a nitro, cyano or acetamido group, or together form and with the phenyl nucleus to which they are attached, a polycyclic aromatic nucleus, R2 and R3 being in position 3, 4, 5 or 6 when OH is in position 2, and being in position 3, and 5, and being different from hydrogen when OH is in position 4; characterized by reacting, in an organic solvent, particularly ethanol, propanol or dioxane, at a temperature between 50 ° C and the boiling temperature of the solvent, a tetrahydrothiene (3,2-c) -pyridine derivative of the formula: ( SEE GAZETTE) or a derivative of its isomer, tetrahydro has (2,3-c) -pyridine, of formula: (SEE GAZETTE) formulas in which the radical R1 has the meanings given above, with formaldehyde H-CHO and a phenol of formula: (SEE GAZETTE) in which R2 and R3 have the meanings given above, thus obtaining the desired derivative, of formula Ia or Ib.
