abstract |
Disclosed is an end-functionalized polysiloxane-urethane polymer comprising: polysiloxane segments comprising from 50 to 98% by weight based on the total weight of the polymer; urethane segments comprising from 2 to 50% by weight based on the total weight of the polymer; and terminal functional groups selected from (meth)acrylate functional groups, alkoxysilyl functional groups, and mixtures thereof. The capped functionalized polysiloxane-urethane polymer is used in optically clear liquid adhesive formulations where it can provide dual light-cure and moisture-cure properties. In some embodiments, the cured reaction products of the optically clear liquid adhesive composition prepared with the capped polysiloxane-urethane polymer exhibit low haze of 2% or less and low yellowness b* values of 2 or less as described. prepared and after aging test. In some embodiments, the cured reaction products of the optically clear liquid adhesive composition prepared with the capped polysiloxane-urethane polymer exhibit minimal shrinkage and a stable compression storage modulus of -40 to 100°C. |
