titleOfInvention A METAL FREE ANTIMICROBIAL AND UV PROTECTIVE ADDITIVE.
abstract The invention relates to metal-free antimicrobial and UV protection additives, which can be used in construction or finishing materials, such as plasters, mortars, primers, paints and other protective or decorative coatings to eliminate the growth of bacteria, fungi , algae and lichens and to protect the material from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The additive comprises an organophilic mixture layer of illite-smectite, chlorite, illite, carbonates, silica and hematite with the following ratio of components (% by weight): layer of mixture of illite-organophilic smectite of between 40 to 70% ; chlorite between 5 to 10%; illite 5 to 10%, carbonates 0 to 20%, silica 5 to 20%, hematite 0 to 3%. The illite-smectite mixture layer is organophilized with quaternary ammonium compounds used in the amount of 10 to 30% counting from the required weight of the illite-smectite mixture layer.
