METHODS OF ACQUISITION OF RECORDS. |
abstract |
A method of acquiring electrical records of a section of a well includes circulating a well fluid within the well, the well fluid includes a base fluid; and a crosslinked and branched polymeric fluid loss control agent formed from at least one acrylamide monomer and a sulfonated anionic monomer; wherein the fluid loss control agent has a cross-linking extension that is selected such that the fluid loss control agent has a viscosity that is within a peak viscosity response curve; place a well record acquisition tool inside the well capable of applying an electric current to the well: apply an electric current to the well from the record acquisition tool; and collect an electrical record of a part of the well to which an electric current was applied. |
