The synthesis method that avoids or reduces the contraction of gels during the solvent removal step is characterized by the step where the organic solvent used to synthesize the isocyanate-based organic xerogel is replaced by water in such a way that during the Solvent removal step is only necessary to remove the water to dry the porous network and obtain the organic xerogel based on isocyanate.
