abstract The present invention relates to negative allosteric modulators of NR2B receptors of N-alkylaryl-5-oxaryl-octadih idrocyclopent [c] pyrrole which are useful in the treatment of neurological diseases, which have the formula I: (see Formula) wherein R1, R2, L1, L2, X, Y and Y 'are described herein. In one aspect, the compounds of formula I and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, prodrugs, solvates, hydrates, tautomers or stereoisomers thereof are described, wherein L1 is linear or branched C1-C5 alkyl, optionally substituted with one or more selected substituents from the group consisting of OH, OR10, NH2, NHR10 and N (R10) (R10 '), provided that no more than one oxygen or nitrogen is attached to any carbon.
